You do not have to be a current volunteer to attend this event. While it is a celebration of volunteer contribution around the South West, there will be opportunities to sign up to new volunteer roles and hear from others who volunteer.
The event will bring together youth and young adult volunteers from across the South West region to celebrate their contribution to the community in a relaxed and inclusive environment near Koombana Bay. It has been co-designed by young adult volunteers from headspace Bunbury and the Blue Leaf Initiative, in collaboration with Volunteer South West, City of Bunbury, and Freedom.

1. How many people will attend?
We are anticipating there to be between 30-60 people at this event. It will be a mix of all genders.
2. How old will attendees be?
We welcome people aged 12-30 to this event. If you are under 16, you will need to attend with a supervising adult (parent/ guardian/ volunteer coordinator)
3. Can I come by myself?
Absolutely! We encourage any and all people to attend - we will make sure you feel welcome!
4. Can I bring a support worker?
For sure. Your support worker does not have to register but they are more than welcome to join in.
5. What food is available?
We will be serving finger food and platters from local cafes / farmers markets. This usually includes cheese and crackers, fruit, popcorn, and rolls. Please include any dietary requirements on your registration if there is anything for us to be aware of.
6. Will there be alcohol?
All our events are alcohol-, smoke-, and vape-free. We ask that you do not attend this event under the influence of any substances, or you will be asked to leave.
7. Is there parking?
There is free parking at the venue including ACROD bays. Overflow parking will be at Koombana Bay beach.
8. Is there public transport?
The closest bus stop is Bunbury Bus Stop (near Blair Street). All bus routes except 842 drop off here. The event will finish late, so please organise another way home.
9. Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes, it is wheelchair accessible.
10. What gender are the facilities?
There are male, female, and universal access toilet facilities available.
