Young Athletes Holiday Program - Session 2

Dates: Wednesday 27 September 2023 

Time: 11:30am - 12:30pm

Participants: Kids aged 5 - 8 years (*kids aged 0 - 4 years old are requested to register into the earlier session)

Location: Kwinana Recquatic, Skerne St &, Robbos Way, Kwinana WA 6167, Australia

Cost: FREE (supported by Connecting Community for Kids)

Focus: 

Young Athletes is an inclusive program that develops the fundamental movement skills of 2 to 8 year olds with and without an intellectual disability.  The program focuses on play-based activities that support social and physical  growth and aims to creates greater access and opportunities for participating  children.

Young Athletes includes:

- Safe and welcoming weekly sessions led by a trained coaches in a 1:5 ratio

- Individualisation of activities to meet the child’s skill level through modification, adaption or extension

- Focus on fundamental skills of sport, including multi-sport gross motor skills, social skills of sport, and health and fitness

- Opportunity to progress onto various Special Olympics sports and National Sporting Organisation pathway  through weekly sports and competitions.
