Frame Making - 14 September 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ticket
The bee hives are boxes of ‘frames' that hold baby bees and honey. The beekeepers equipment is maintained and replaced when needed. New frames are needed each year. Help the Farm bees to be ready for this honey season by making the frames for the hives. Frames will be assembled from wood pieces, wire and wax. Your frame with your name on it will be put into the hives at a later session. Please meet at CCF reception gate for orientation at 10:50am. Wear long, loose pants and closed shoes. Bring a hat, a drink and a snack.

FreeMeeting the Bees - 12 October 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ticket
The bees are raising baby bees, keeping the hive clean and bringing in lots of nectar from the flowers. The health and progress of the bees in each hive is monitored. You will put on a beekeeping protective suit and we will use the smoker and open the hives to inspect the frames. This is the beginning of your hands-on beekeeping work.
