Event description

Have you ever wondered what really goes on inside the human body? How do the heart, lungs, and brain work together to keep us alive? What does a real organ look and feel like?

High-potential students in Years 5 and 6 from Methodist Ladies’ College are invited to take a deep dive into the fascinating world of human anatomy like never before! This hands-on workshop isn’t just about learning facts, it’s about exploring, questioning, and discovering.

✅ Get up close with real organs through guided dissections
✅ Uncover the structure and function of major body systems
✅ Learn critical first aid skills and real-world medical knowledge
✅ Think like a doctor, sharpen your critical and creative thinking

Guided by experts in education and medicine

The workshop is facilitated by a Gifted and Talented education specialist with over a decade of experience teaching anatomical dissection. Our highly experienced Emergency Nurse will also assist in practical sessions who brings real-world medical insights and regularly trains doctors and nurses across Western Australia. Together, they provide a perfect balance of academic challenge and practical enrichment.

This workshop is perfect for aspiring surgeons, future doctors, or anyone with a curious mind. It’s engaging, fun, thought-provoking, but, let’s be honest - not for the fainthearted!
