Event description

Youth Homelessness Matters Day (YHMD) has a long history of celebrating the resilience of young people and advocating for greater service delivery responses to meet the unique needs of young people. The advocacy work gone before has created solid foundation to cultivate an annual cornerstone event that promotes action, conversation and celebration.

We believe the most powerful way is by providing a platform to elevate the voices of young people with lived or living experiences of homelessness; to share their truth.

It is through their personal stories we hope to meaningfully connect and positively prompt audiences to consider the emotional, psychological, and physical impacts of homelessness, and what we can each do to help and support change.

There will be a roaming photographer on site for the day. Please do let us know if you would like to opt out of any photography.

We will be double checking on the day too to ensure everyone is comfortable.
