headspace Capalaba invites YOU to attend our 2024 art exhibition & silent auction! Support young artists, enjoy food & win prizes!
Entries are OPEN NOW for young people aged 12-25 to submit their artwork. Whether that be a messy charcoal sketch, a futuristic digital art piece, some bedazzled fashion or a near-dry oil painting... we want to see it!
Family-friendly event for all ages! Spend time taking in the creations of young, local artists while you nibble on our delicious sweet & savoury platters. Participate in our collaborative community art piece & have a chat to other local community organisations at the various stalls.
Win prizes! Prizes for artwork as voted by event attendees & our Young Peoples Advisory Committee. Lucky door prizes are also up for grabs for all attendees!
Light snacks & drinks provided. Alcohol-free event.

2:00PM - 3:30PM
- Welcome in! Have a look at our wonderful art entries & don't forget to vote for your favourite art work, & possibly bid on them too.
- Enjoy some snacks, visit our community stalls & get creative with our collaborative art piece!
3:30PM - 4:00PM
- Announcing our winners! Those who have entered their artworks will be judged for both Young Peoples Advisory Committee choice & overall votes by attendees. The winners will be announced. The lucky door prize winner will also be picked & announced.
- Auction winners will be announced & all artwork to be collected by event closing.

Who can enter the competition?
- Anyone between the ages of 12-25. All you have to do is create & then submit your artwork!
How do I submit my artwork?
- Head to https://tr.ee/3CxYM8ekdZ to register your artwork & drop it off to headspace Capalaba by 5pm Monday 17th June 2024.
I have entered art, can I bring my family & friends along to the event?
- Of course! The more the merrier. Please share these event details so they can get their free ticket.
How does the silent auction work?
- Each artwork will have a name tag & a bidding sheet. Attendees can bid by writing their name & contact details on the bidding sheet for their desired artwork. Multiple people can bid on multiple artworks. Bidding will close 30mins prior to the end of the event with winners announced at the end.
How do I know if I was the highest bidder for an artwork?
- Highest bidders will be announced at the end of the event.
How do I pay for a piece of art if I am the highest bidder?
- Payments are to be made by CASH ONLY on the day of the event otherwise your winning bid may be forfeited & offered to the next highest bidder in attendance.
How will I know if my artwork sold?
- Artworks that receive bids will be announced at the end of the event.
What do I do if my artwork doesn't sell or I decided not to sell my artwork?
- All artworks are to be collected from the event venue at the closing time of the exhibition, by 4pm on Saturday 29th June 2024. If the artist cannot collect their artwork by the event closing time, artists must make alternative arrangements and advise headspace Capalaba of these. headspace Capalaba is not responsible for any art that has not been claimed within 2 weeks after the event. Art that has not been collected within 2 weeks will be donated to charity or disposed of.
Do all proceeds from art sold go directly to the artists?
- YES! All money received from artwork sold will go directly back to the artists who created them.
