Join the Australia-United Kingdom Chamber of Commerce for our next Young Professionals Reception, featuring a conversation with Deputy High Commissioner Elisabeth Bowes PSM.

From Canberra to Washington to London, Deputy High Commissioner Elisabeth Bowes PSM has built a distinguished career at the heart of Australian diplomacy and international trade. As lead negotiator of the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement, which entered into force in May 2023, Elisabeth has played a pivotal role in shaping one of the most significant chapters in the modern Australia-UK relationship.

As Elisabeth approaches the end of her role as Deputy High Commissioner in the UK, join us for a conversation reflecting on her diplomatic career and the evolving relationship between Australia and the UK. We’ll explore the opportunities presented by the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement, the realities of diplomatic negotiations, and the key lessons she’s learned throughout her career.
