Young Queerios: Create & Grow Finale

Join Queer Family for our final Create & Grow workshop! Create & Grow is a free program for LGBTQIA+ and Questioning young people who are interested in making friends and learning skills in homesteading, gardening, permaculture and more!

When:

Wed 16th April 1-3pm @ Queer Family HQ (Byron Community College in Mullum, 6-8 Burringbar St, Mullumbimby).

What:

Want to know what plants you can eat? This workshop is for you. We’ll be learning about edible plants and flowers and planting seedlings in one of the garden beds at the College. You can also take your own seedling home to snack on later! 🌿🥕🍓

If you just want to hang out, that's ok too!

Who:

Young Queerios is a safe space to connect, explore, be creative, have fun and make friends. If you're 12+ years old and identify as Queer, or you're still figuring it out, then Young Queerios is for you!

Gender diverse and Neurospicy folks will find their identities respected at Queer Family.

We can cater to most needs, just let us know if there's something we need to do to make the space more accessible and feel safer for you.

Food:
Snacks are provided - let us know if you have any allergies!

Transport:
We can offer fuel vouchers to support your attendance and may be able to organise a lift. If you are looking for a lift, please please please give us AT LEAST 3 days' notice.
