Young Readers Club: Group 1 (Saturdays, Ages 10–12)

Join our Young Readers Club, a fun and friendly book group, running from the winter to spring school holidays. Enjoy reading three great books and meeting fellow young readers at Campbelltown Library.

How the Young Readers Club works:

Each session features engaging discussion questions to spark conversation and help participants share their thoughts about the books. Alongside lively chats, we’ll have themed activities and games to keep things interactive and fun.

This book club is a great way for young readers to build confidence, connect with peers, and develop a deeper love of reading—all in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Group 1 Book List:

• The Bridge Home by Padma Venkatraman
  (A touching story of friendship and resilience as four homeless siblings fight to survive)

• Pax by Sara Pennypacker
  (A heartfelt tale about a boy and his fox learning to find their way back to each other)

• The Dog Runner by Bren MacDibble
  (An action-packed adventure in a post-apocalyptic world where courage and hope drive survival)

Book Pickups (to be collected from front desk)

• Book 1: 4–6 July

• Book 2: 2–5 August

• Book 3: 6–9 September

Meeting Dates (Saturdays):

• Saturday 2 August – The Bridge Home

• Saturday 6 September – Pax

• Saturday 11 October – The Dog Runner

Meetings run for 45 minutes: Group 1 meets Saturdays from 12:30pm to 1:15pm at Campbelltown Library teen area.

Spaces are limited to 6 participants. Register once for the full program and let us know which sessions your child can attend. All books are provided to borrow.

Please note: Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian who remains in the library during the sessions.
