Young Writers Masterclass with Nick Earls

We are thrilled to welcome Nick Earls to St Aidan’s for a Young Writers Masterclass for budding authors.

Nick Earls is the author of 28 books. His writing has won awards in Australia, the UK and US. Five of his novels have been adapted into stage plays and two, 48 Shades of Brown and Perfect Skin, into feature films. He holds a PhD in creative writing from the University of Queensland, and has appeared as a visiting writer at schools and universities around Australia and internationally.

It is easy to feel overwhelmed when you’re staring at a blank page wondering where to begin. The Young Writers Masterclass aims to assist young writers to develop and hone their writing skills, bringing their ideas and stories to life through development of voice and different writing styles.

This event is suitable for students in Years 6-8 and is open to girls and boys from any school.
