Description
Experience music differently at the YoungBlue SpringSchool 2026!
Join Australia's string rock sensation, DeepBlue, for five days of musical adventure these September school holidays. The SpringSchool is a unique learning experience for young musicians aged 8-18 to push the boundaries of their creative expression, alongside music industry experts, guest professionals and members of DeepBlue.
In this fun, supportive and immersive week, students take part in workshops spanning movement, improvisation, composition, music technology, stagecraft, circus, live performance and much more - all building towards one unforgettable finale: a live show designed and performed by the students themselves!

💰 $585 + booking fee - early bird: $570 + booking fee, for a limited time!
Who can come?
All stringed instruments, keyboard, drums/percussion, guitars and electronic instruments are welcome - and some woodwind and brass can be catered for, so please get in touch. Students are grouped by age and ability, so there's a place for everyone.
Good to know
Please bring your instrument, shoes you can move in, notebook, morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch each day (no nut products, due to allergies).
Places are strictly limited and fill up fast.

- What instruments can be involved?
All stringed instruments, keyboard, drums/percussion, guitars and electronic instruments. Some woodwind and brass can be catered for - please get in touch.
- I don't play an instrument, but love live production, visuals or stage design...
You can still take part! We offer learning opportunities in these areas on a case-by-case basis — get in touch for a chat.
- Is food provided during the week?
We have extra snacks on hand, but please bring your own morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch. No nut products, due to allergies!
- I haven't been learning for very long — can I participate?
We ask that participants are at AMEB Preliminary level or equivalent. You'll be grouped with musicians of a similar age and experience — ask your teacher, or get in touch if unsure.
- Can I book a private lesson?
Private lessons with DeepBlue members can be booked via email after registration — violin, viola and cello available, and please enquire about other instruments.
