Join Centre for Accessibility Australia for FREE workshop and morning tea as we delve into the key accessibility features of our everyday devices. You are encouraged to bring along your own devices as we explore their accessibility features together.

This hands-on workshop explores the key accessibility features found in popular digital devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, streaming TV devices and popular gaming consoles. Whether you have a disability and would like to learn more or are in a role that is providing support to others, this workshop will provide some great insights on how your device of choice can be used to support a variety of different disability needs.

This FREE workshop includes:

  • Presentation on how different people with disability can use popular consumer digital devices
  • Examples of accessibility features in the Windows and Mac computers, chrome books, Apple iPhone and iPad, Google Android smartphones, streaming TV devices and gaming consoles
  • Ask the Experts panel: get your questions answered in our Q&A session

About the Presenter:

Meet our panel: Nicholas Kapirnas, Christopher Edwards, and Aarthi Gurunathan, specialists with diverse backgrounds and expertise in digital accessibility. Their collective experience encompasses WCAG, film, programming, cyber security, nursing, and lived experiences of disability and neurodiversity. This unique blend of perspectives enables them to provide comprehensive insights into creating inclusive digital environments.
