Planning is underway to deliver the Certificate III in Food Processing in 2025 at the Barossa Regional University Campus, and this info session is your opportunity to learn about exciting career pathways in the local food industry. Backed by the Australian Food Training Centre and Food South Australia, this nationally accredited qualification is recognised throughout Australia’s food industry, offering the skills needed for a long-term career or further studies.
During this session, you’ll hear directly from the Australian Food Training Centre and local businesses committed to supporting local talent. These industry leaders will share how they’re offering on-the-job training and local job opportunities to help launch your career in food processing.
About the course
The Certificate III delivered by the Australian Food Training Centre would be designed to offer hands-on training and career pathways in food processing, addressing a critical gap in local training that was previously only available by commute to Regency TAFE.
- The course is delivered under the oversight of FoodSA, South Australia's peak body for food producers.
- You'd gain hands-on experience through a 12-month traineeship with local businesses
- No prior experience is required—just a passion to learn.
- You’ll be assessed through assignments throughout the year with no exams and will have access to learner supports, both from the businesses you work with and externally.
