She Owns It is a community of Kiwi women embracing the Messy Middle - yes we work hard, but we've tossed out the rulebook that says success only comes one way.
Instead, we’re building businesses that honour our lives, supporting ourselves, each other and our communities as we go.
Together, we’re on a mission to #LiftEachOther, build profitable, impactful businesses and make meaningful change in the world.
Our 2026 Roadshow is taking us to to the big cities to connect with our community in person! After a successful Wellington learning morning, we're now headed to the Waikato!
Your Glow Up is a collaboration with Ruth and Ashlee in Hamilton in June to connect women in business! This community event in the Gilmour Studios space for women in business features two feel-good, practical sessions that blend health + wellbeing with photography + personal brand confidence.
Ruth is an award winning photographer and will be speaking about personal branding and how to use your photos to showcase your biz.
Ashlee is an award winning coach and she will be talking about the biz/life balance with simple tweaks to get more energy and joy in the chaos.
Two Masterclasses for focused upskilling, with space for connection and networking.
There is also an opportunity to update your headshot! Ruth can do this on the day - add onto your ticket when you book :-)
She Owns It is a women-in-biz community, providing resources, support, learning and connection for women, and a membership where Kiwi women in business connect, get visible and grow.

Ruth Gilmour
Ruth has worked with hundreds of people, capturing the important events in their lives—their wedding days, baby bumps, and family celebrations. Her expertise in photography is not just in the technical side of handling the camera but in the art of understanding people. With qualifications in photography and visual arts, she blend technical skills with an artistic touch. In this session she'll speak about how to use photography for confidence and to build your personal brand to support your business.
Ashlee Sturme
Obsessed with finding the ✨ magic ✨ in the Messy Middle, Ashlee is on mission to help Kiwi women get visible and build businesses that feel good, do good, and stay true to you. She passionately supports the holistic care and empowerment of women in her projects which includes communities, podcast, magazine, online programmes, charities and retreats for women. Ashlee is an award-winning, qualified and experienced coach, facilitator, educator, collaborator and author, the Community Manager for She Owns It and the Team Lead for She Is... NZ.
