Your Rights at Work in Australia: Info Session & Quiz Night (with Pizza)

There will also be a 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐚 $𝟓𝟎 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫.

Guess My Accent (GMA) and the Migrant Work Rights Hub Tasmania are co-hosting

an interactive information session for people working in Tasmania on temporary

visas (including student, skilled and sponsored, Working Holiday, and other types of

temporary visas).

This session will cover:

• Workplace rights in Australia

• How to identify workplace exploitation (underpayment, unsafe work, unfair

  treatment, harassment)

• How to safely report exploitation

• The recent Migration Act changes that introduced new protections for migrant

  workers who have experienced exploitation

• Where to get free and confidential support in Tasmania

  The session will include a presentation followed by a fun and interactive workplace rights quiz.

This is a free event designed to build awareness, and knowledge of workplace rights

in a safe and welcoming environment.
