Event description

Join us for an empowering session focused on understanding and addressing harassment, bullying, inappropriate conduct, and sexual harm. You will hear from guest speakers including representatives from the NZ Police and Barrister Kathryn Dalziel, who will provide practical insights into the legalities of intent, available support services, and key resources. This event is designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, respond to, and seek help for harmful behaviours in any setting.

Kathryn Dalziel: Kathryn Dalziel is a barrister in Christchurch specialising in employment and privacy law. She has been in practice for over 35 years and in 2025 she was made an adjunct professor of practice in the Faculty of Law, University of Canterbury.  Kathryn regularly presents at seminars and conferences in her areas of specialist interest including workplace dynamics and workplace bullying. Kathryn’s session will look at “Workplace bullying: what is it and what can we do about it?”

NZ Police: A Police Spokesperson from the Adult Sexual Assault team will be speaking from the perspective of the law around intent, precedent, sexual harm and what constitutes harassment.

Catering: Posh Porridge will be provided!
