Join us for the play reading of You're Beautiful and Perfect, by award-winning writer Steve Pirie.
You're Beautiful and Perfect follows a young man with an STI, and it's totally not a big deal. With no clue of its origin but a meticulous spreadsheet of every entanglement he's been in, he runs the gauntlet of apologies, reconnections and shame. As the list runs longer and longer, he begins to ask what it is he’s trying to cure, and why this feels like heartbreak if a heart was never broken.
This play is a darkly funny window into a person's desperation for intimacy without the words to ask for it; in a new monologue that walks the path through sex and porn addiction and the deep loneliness of modern romance!
