An Interactive Acting & Storytelling Workshop with Toby Chittenden supported by Co-Founder, Drama Educator | MEd. Marie Ferguson.
Join Toby Chittenden, a seasoned storyteller, actor, and writer for this 2-hour interactive workshop on the art of storytelling — for fun, for connection, and for the love of the stage.
This engaging masterclass is all about finding your voice, playing with performance, and making your audience feel part of the journey. Perfect for young people aged 10+ to teens who love creativity, performing, or just having a laugh.

🎤 Performance Opportunity:
Participants are invited to perform at the Community Day Showcase on Saturday 12th July (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) – a chance to share their stories and creativity with family and friends!
🌟 Workshop Highlights:
✔️ Story selection – what makes a good story to perform?
✔️ Playing with poems vs prose
✔️ Audience engagement – eye contact, movement, presence
✔️ Characterisation, accents, costumes, and props (bring a hat, jacket, or something playful!)
✔️ Finding your storytelling voice – projection, dynamics, breathing
✔️ Performance time – putting it all together in front of the group
💡 Prerequisites:
✔️ A willingness to have fun!
✔️ Feel free to bring a short story or poem (self-written or not) for us to explore together.
