FAQs

  • What time of the day will these classes run?

All workshops and classes run after school hours between 4pm and 6pm

  • Why is there no workshops in my hometown?

We have done our best to share the love across the three major towns in the Alpine Shire, Mount Beauty, Bright and Myrtleford. If there is a workshop that does not happen in all three locations, there is a free transport service offered so transport is not a barrier.

  • Who is driving the free transport service?

This service will be run by the Alpine Shire Youth Development Officer, Lara May. Young people will only travel in an Alpine Shire Council marked vehicle and only after parental consent has been given in the 'checkout' questions when finalising your ticket.

  • I’ve scored my tickets, but I haven’t received the event location. How will I get this information?

To ensure the safety of all participants and to make sure only registered ticket holders attend, full event details are shared closer to the workshop date. You’ll receive an email from laram@alpineshire.vic.gov.au with the location and other important information 5–7 days before your workshop.

Please keep an eye on your inbox for any communication from Lara as the event approaches.

  • What type of camera do I need to bring for the Photography with Sini workshop?

You’ll need to bring a digital camera that allows you to use manual settings. During the workshop, Sini will guide you through photography fundamentals and the key manual controls. We did our best to source cameras for everyone, but unfortunately we weren’t able to secure any.

We recommend speaking with your teachers to see if your school can lend you a suitable camera.
