Wednesday, 6th November — Let’s Practice Performing
In this workshop, Joel will explain the importance of reading your own work out loud and then performing it yourself. He will help his students write short scenes that they’ll practice performing.
Wednesday, 20th November — Let’s Put a Play Up
In this workshop, Joel will detail how young people can put on their own theatre productions. He’ll describe how independent theatre functions and list the professional opportunities that his students could leverage.
During the last workshop, Joel will get his students to share a short piece of their own theatrical writing. In order for his students to have enough time, prep for this session will begin during the later half of this workshop.
Wednesday, 4th December — Let’s Share Our Own Work
In this workshop, Joel will let his students finish writing their respective short scenes. He’ll then give his students an opportunity to present their own writing. Afterward, Joel will provide each of his students with a bunch of empowering feedback.
