    Volunteer Community Network Meeting - Trends in Volunteering 

    Event description 

    Come along to hear about the trends in volunteering and the opportunities for your organisation.  The session will present information related to engaging youth, inclusive volunteer organisations and the EV volunteer ecosystem.  Enjoy the opportunity to network over small group discussions and morning tea. 

    EV Strengthening Communities, together with the Manningham Volunteer Resource Service (MVRS), Manningham Youth Employment Pathways Program (MYEPP), and the Volunteer Management Activity Project (VMA5 - Eastern Region) is hosting this network meeting to support volunteer managers and leaders.   

    Topics for the session: 

    Engaging youth into volunteering 

    • Marijke Fotia from Uniting – presenting about the Photo Story project as a way to engage volunteers in storytelling, with particular focus on younger volunteers 
    • Amy Marshall and Callum Wylie from the MYHub (Each) – giving an overview of the Manningham Youth service and some tips about how to engage with young people. 
    • What is the Manningham Youth Employment Pathways Program (MYEPP)? 

    Inclusive Volunteering 

    • Introduction of Mydhily Madhu from Manningham Council, who will share information about her role as Disability & Inclusion officer and how she can support organisations to become more inclusive. 

    Overview of the Manningham State of Volunteering Report 

    • Dr Shona Bass will present the key findings of the Manningham State of Volunteering Report 2023 

    The EV volunteering Ecosystem 

    • Dr Shona Bass will give an introduction about the the EV Volunteering Ecosystem
