Event description
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an education course that teaches adults about adolescent development and the signs and symptoms of common and disabling mental health problems in young people, including crisis situations.
Topics covered include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders and suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
You will learn how and where to get help when a young person is developing a mental illness, what help research has shown to be effective and how to provide first aid in crisis situations.

This is the full Youth MHFA course delivered in-person
In order to meet MHFA accreditation requirements, participants MUST be in attendance for the entire duration of the course and complete the post quiz with a minimum of 80% pass rate. Accreditation is valid for 3 years and is recognised throughout Australia.Â
Note: MHFA requires there to be a minimum of 6 participants for the session to go ahead. If this number is not reached the session will be cancelled and you will be offered a spot at another session or a refund.
