Youth Mental Health First Aid Course

Discover the power of a conversation; it can change a life or even save a life! Learn how to do this effectively through our Youth Mental Health First Aid course.

Two in five young Australians experience a mental health issue in any given year, with many not seeking professional help, even though it’s often an essential part of the recovery journey. Early intervention has a profound impact on a young person's future, promoting faster recovery and reducing the risk of long-term challenges.

This in-person event aims to elevate mental health literacy and provide practical skills to:

  • Recognise the warning signs of mental health problems in young people
  • Respond across a range of crisis situations, including suicidal thoughts and behaviours, non-suicidal self-injury, panic attacks and trauma
  • Offer support openly and accurately
  • Reduce stigma and increase support for young people

Join Sacha Wanda for this world-class course and become part of a growing community of advocates supporting youth mental health.

This course bridges the significant gap between the outdated knowledge circulating in the community and the latest insights grounded in science. Despite how far mental health research has come, many people still rely on myths and misconceptions when trying to help young people. This course is designed to change that.

Equipping you or your team with evidence-based skills and knowledge empowers you to make a real difference, whether by supporting a young person in distress, building stronger connections, or spreading mental health literacy in your school or community. Together, we can close the gap, foster a culture of care, and create a healthier, more informed society.

We hope to see you there!
