Event description
This 2-day Youth Mental Health First Aid courses teaches participants the skills to recognize the early warning signs of a range of Mental Health issues including Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Psychosis, Suicidal Ideation and Substance Use Disorder. The course also covers how to start a conversation around mental illness and how to connect them to professional help.
On completion of this course, participants will get the opportunity to complete an online assessment to become a Workplace Mental Health First Aider for 3 years.
This course is for anyone but especially for someone who works or lives around children and young people including Teachers, Education Assistants, Youth Workers, Chaplains and Parents.
