Join us for a special screening of the brand-new live-action version of How to Train Your Dragon (2025) — a heart-warming tale of friendship, courage, and mythical creatures. But the adventure doesn’t stop at the screen…

Before the movie begins, explore the zoo at twilight, meet our incredible keepers, enjoy Viking-inspired fun, take a free spin on the carousel, and grab some delicious food with friends as you discover the zoo after dark.

Purchase a ticket to Youth Movie Night and enjoy:

• Exclusive access to after-hours animal viewing from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

• Special keeper talks:

  • 6pm: Giraffe

  • 6:20pm: Giant Tortoise

  • 5:30pm - 7pm: Reptile House

• Free carousel rides until 7:00pm.

• The How to Train Your Dragon Viking Zone and unleash your inner Viking! Train like a Viking, meet Toothless up close, and visit the selfie station.

• Settle in for a movie under the stars — starting at 7pm.

We've got some delicious hot food, dessert and drinks available for purchase before the screening, including:

Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic rug and low back chair for the screening.

Keeping Everyone Safe

Safety & Supervision
All staff have Working With Children Checks and child safety training, with clear supervision and youth-only spaces throughout the event.

Medical Support
First aid staff will be onsite all night, and participants must bring any personal medication they need.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off
For safety, only the Rail Gate will open at the end of the night. Staff and security will supervise this single exit to ensure a smooth and safe collection after the movie.
