Youth Sewing Group

This year our youth sewing group is going to step up a level- as a number of our young sewists have been learning for a while and have some pretty cool skills!

Over term one and two, students will work on developing their sewing skills and pattern reading/ design skills

- Students will choose a personal interest project to work on, either an outfit, a quilt or another item
- Students will have the opportunity to display their work in our student exhibition /fashion showcase event on the weekend of 21st & 22nd June

Returning students and those with sewing experience are encouraged to stretch their skills and work with new materials or take on a bigger projects!
Beginners
will be supported to learn the basics of sewing and make their first garments or projects!


Students will need:

  • Sewing machine with foot peddle and power cord
  • scissors and pins
  • a project idea!
  • a notebook will be provided

    Who are art classes suitable for?

    • This class is suitable for students in year 6 and High school
    • Beginners and new students
    • Students with sewing experience and returning students
