Youth Week 2026 Fashion Flip + Dance Showcase

Join us for a creative Youth Week celebration where fashion, dance and sustainability collide.

Young people are invited to take part in a Fashion Flip workshop, transforming donated dance costumes into bold new looks using creative upcycling techniques. Guided by Slogue’s youth fashion mentors, participants will experiment with styling, embellishment and textile reuse to reimagine existing garments.

In partnership with local dance school Electric DNA, the event culminates in a dance showcase and catwalk finale at the Re Place preloved clothes warehouse, where the newly transformed costumes will be brought to life through hip hop and jazz dance routines performed by Company members before everyone joins in for a fun community runway to the much-loved hip hop hit Thrift Shop.

Prizes will be awarded for the most creative costume transformations, judged by fashion and dance industry guests.

This Youth Week event celebrates creativity, circular fashion and youth collaboration across dance and design.
