Youth World Food Garden - Workshop 3 - Food For Everyone
Event description
Are you 14 to 25 years old and interested to learn more about gardening, cooking, food justice and sustainability?
Join us in the Youth World Food Garden Program - a collaborative journey designed by Just Food Collective and Sustain: the Australian Food Network, and funded by VicHealth’s Jumpstart initiative.
This workshop will be all about exploring challenges with sourcing food that is culturally relevant to us, and the food insecurity that results from those challenges. We will plant seedlings (that participants picked at the end of 2022) into our little plot of land at Oakhill Food Justice Farm. 👩🌾
'Food For Everyone' is the third of six workshops in our journey. You're welcome to join us for this one or stay for the whole program (click here to learn more about the other workshops in the program)
*This program was funded to benefit young people aged 14-25 that have experienced challenges accessing employment or educational opportunities. Participants will receive a stipend of 30 AUD for each workshop attended and may be reimbursed for transport costs if needed.
