Yule 2024 with Gaia's Garden (A Gaia Temple Pop Up Ritual)
Event description
🕯️ The Great Pause of Winter Solstice is the moment of the longest dark. Snuggle in for this resting time as the Earth leans furthest away from the Sun. Lean into the night, guided by inspiration from the stars. What choices must you consider before the re-birth of the Sun?
In Victoria, it is cold, but not so much to stop growth. The native Cherry Ballart fruits and the Warin (Wombat) venture from their burrows.
We shall ritual on this night with shared feast, story, connection, and the magic of a winter night. We stand at Winter Solstice at the time of the Great Pause. It is the moment of the longest dark, which now ends, but not yet growing into light. The Earth stands still, waiting to turn. Yule - we can experience true stillness, the pause between one life and another; a time to consider what choices we will have to make before re-birth when the light comes. The Earth holds limitless potential. We start to make plans. The future is not yet here, the past is gone, and we are here, in the now.
Please bring a plate of food to share after the ritual, and feel free to wear the colours of the season: green, red, brown, or yellow.
Together, let us embrace the magic of this transformative time and welcome the light that emerges from the depths of the longest night.
We look forward to celebrating with you! 🌿✨
