Ditch the winter chills and join the summer fun at YUMMO! Laksa Festival, a vibrant celebration of culinary delights presented by the Darwin International Laksa Festival and Molly Rose Brewery.

Taste your way around the stalls, with Darwin 2023 Hall of Fame recipient Jason from Chok’s Place cooking his award-winning laksa and 2023 Golden Bowl Winner Jason from CHOW! bringing some of the best laksa-inspired dishes from Darwin for all to try for free. 

Alongside these award-winning Darwin chefs, Melbourne chefs will be serving up their take on the beautifully versatile laksa. With Yuni’s Kitchen in Northcote bringing their legendary Vegan Laksa to Chef Mischa Tropp from Toddy Shop in Fitzroy combining laksa with his South Indian style and The Molly Rose kitchen drawing from its modern Australian approach to Southeast Asian flavours, there will be inspiring tasty surprises throughout the day.

Want to know how to cook the "Perfect Paste"? Join our free cooking demonstrations with Chef Jason from Chok's Place in Darwin as he shows you how to make an award-winning laksa paste.

Delve into the many layers of flavour that is laksa with a "Laksa-Inspired Gin Masterclass". Join Nic Sandery, Molly Rose founder & brewer, and create your very own custom laksa-inspired bottle of gin to take home with you. Tickets will be pre-sold before the event for $125 +BF per person. There are two sessions with only eight spots in each. People must be over 18 to attend the masterclasses. The ticket includes gin tastings and a 500ml bottle of gin to take home.
