About the Artist:
Zak Irvine is a Belfast-based jazz pianist and bandleader, originally from Bangor. With a foundation in classical music, Zak has developed a polished and versatile piano style from a young age, which he now channels into jazz, exploring improvisation and complex harmonies with a natural ease. Already making waves on the Irish jazz scene, Zak has performed two major shows at Scott’s Jazz Bar and two shows at the Courthouse Bangor, and his music will soon be heard at Brilliant Corners Jazz Fest and Magy’s Farm. His performances showcase a distinctive voice that blends classical roots with contemporary jazz influences, captivating audiences with both technical skill and emotional depth.
Inspired by the work of Robert Glasper, Taylor Eigsti, Herbie Hancock and Kiefer.
