Join us for a welcoming celebration of culture and community in the heart of Newcastle.

The Zara’s House Food Festival will feature unique stalls offering authentic Nigerian, Afghan, Indonesian, Tibetan, Ghanaian, Syrian and Italian foods. Prepared by locals who are passionate about sharing their culture, each plate tells a story of tradition, identity, and resilience.

Alongside the food, enjoy live drumming and dance performances in an open, family-friendly setting at The Station.

Every dollar raised goes directly to Zara’s House, a Newcastle-based community centre supporting refugee and asylum-seeking women and their families through education, childcare, financial literacy, and essential support services.

Why attend?

Enjoy delicious, culturally authentic food prepared by refugee and migrant community members
Experience live music, dance, and drumming from diverse local performers
