Zefiro
Event description
Zefiro are Cecilia Bersee (violin), David Vance (piano) and Suzanne Cowan (flute) and they are coming together again to perform at Wollongong Uniting Church – the beautiful Church in the Mall.
As well as playing late 19th and early 20th century music, the trio will premier a new piece composed by John Spence, When Feathers Fall.
“When Feathers Fall was composed in memory of a dear friend who passed
away from Cancer. As a celebration of their life, the piece moves
through the highs and lows of different emotions in an episodic form.
The piece is composed with one single tempo that represents an
unwavering life beat that never changed despite the changing divisions
of rhythm.”
- John Spence, Head of Music Theory & Composition, WollCon
