Sydney Cantata Project - Zelenka Miserere

Join the Sydney Cantata Project for their next concert on Saturday, 12 October at 3pm at St John's Anglican Church, Darlinghurst.

The program features works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Jan Dismas Zelenka - Bach's Ach Gott, vom Himmel sieh darein BWV 2 and Mein Gott, wie lang, ach lange? BWV 155, along with Zelenka's Miserere in C minor ZWV 57. The concert features a virtuosic baroque bassoon solo, as well as a choir of sackbuts and cornetto. Concluding the concert is the great Czech composer Jan Dismas Zelenka's (1679–1745) dramatic Miserere in C minor.
