Zen Sundays: Japanese Tea & Flute

Price $30 USD + BF + Sales tax Get tickets

Event description

At Cultivate Taste Tea Salon we wanted to do a Zen Sunday event for a while. Sundays are for relaxing and recharging your batteries for the up coming week. This is why we wanted to do a Zen Sunday series. Music can be relaxing and healthy for you. We were asked by the well known and highly regarded chef and flute player Ace Champion to do an event together. This Zen event works perfectly for both of us.

For those who do not know Ace is a multi talented chef and musician specializing in different traditional flutes and drums across the world. He will be playing a traditional Zen Japanese flute for relaxation. This ancient flute can put your mind in a relaxing, meditative state to promote natural detox and full body relaxation. Sit back and feel the vibration & calming, meditative sounds of the traditional Japanese flute that will relax, inspire and help clear any negative energy from the mind/body. Good Buffalo, aka Ace will be sharing his love and passion directly from his soul through the instrument played.

You will also get a trio of Japanese green teas that are central to Japanese Zen Buddhism. There are Zen temples and monasteries throughout China, Korea, Vietnam, and Japan with green tea being very important to this way of life and extremely rare for a monastery or temple to not have a ceremonial tearoom. These teas will also help you relax and calm your mind. Green tea has been an integral part of Zen Buddhism for over a 1000 years.

The owner of Cultivate Taste Tea is Wisconsin's only certified tea specialist who won international awards for her tea and represented the USA tea industry in two world tea conferences in China.

Join us! Reservations are appreciated but not required. Tickets for this event are $30 for advance reservations and $40 at the door.
