Join Zoe Birch from Greasy Zoes for a hands-on, flavour-packed workshop where you'll learn how to reduce food waste at home while preparing and tasting delicious, low-impact recipes.

What you’ll learn:

- What zero waste food really means and why it matters
- How to store different food to make it last
- Tips on meal planning, composting, and upcycling scraps
- The difference between "best before" and "use by" labels
- Creative ways to use leftovers and "ugly" produce
- Easy preservation techniques like freezing, fermenting & pickling

You'll get to take home what you make, plus receive a leaflet of zero-waste tips and simple recipes to try at home.

Zoe Birch

Zoe Birch has been hailed one of the most exciting chefs in Victoria right now. With over 20 years experience in hospitality, Zoe has been bestowed two chefs hats from The Age Good Food Guide, two chef of the year nominations and a myriad of other awards and nominations for her restaurant Greasy Zoes in Hurstbridge, including Time Out Melbourne’s 2025 Restaurant of The Year.

Greasy Zoes is one of the first micro restaurants to be seen in Victoria. Serving only eight guests a night, 32 people a week, with a strong focus on sustainability, low waste cooking and supporting small hyper local family-owned businesses.

The class is booked out with an extensive waiting list. If you can no longer attend the class, please let us know by Wednesday 5th December and we can arrange a refund. Please note cancellations after this date will not be refunded.
