We warmly invite you to our special annual event connecting with the Zero Waste Network of Aotearoa. Wonderful Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington will be hosting us as we come together to listen and learn via inspiring speakers and knowledgeable panellists. We will be workshopping on specific waste streams, and collaborating with others wearing the same hats as us but from other corners of the country. All wrapped around plenty of networking fun, and zero waste adventures to catch up with old friends, and welcoming in our new members.
Day 1 - Conference Day
The big picture
Starting 8.30am, Monday 18th November 2024
Join us on Day 1 for loads of learning and big picture thinking. Speaker sessions and panels are themed to:
- Zero Waste & Climate
- Zero Waste & Justice
- Zero Waste Towns Regions & Cities
- Zero Waste Economics
This day is designed to widen our lens and learn more of what our mahi contributes to on a national and global scale. We hope you leave feeling inspired and hopeful.
Special Evening Event
Zero Waste Solutions to Planetary Crises: Expert & political perspectives
Wrapping up the day is an evening open-to-the-public expert and political panel with all the Wellington locals who are working alongside us for a better world.
This event is ticketed separately and spaces are limited. Find out more and grab your tickets here.
Day 2 - Network Day
Our piece in the puzzle
Starting 8.30am, Tuesday 19th November 2024
Join us on Day 2 for closer connection to our Zero Waste Network mahi. We’ll hear some inspiring stories from members, there’ll be time to concentrate on specific waste streams (think e-products, C&D, textiles, organics), time to collaborate in separate work streams, and an opportunity to Q&A the Zero Waste Network team and hear updates on our current projects (Everybite, Localised, Whakahaumanu a Hineahuone).
This day is perfect for diving deep into our mahi alongside others, inspired from day 1. Let’s ideate, collaborate and come away feeling connected, supported and encouraged.
Day 2 - Communal dinner
Tuesday 19th November 2024
Top the night off with our special network evening where we can take time to celebrate, share stories, take selfies and enjoy a relaxed evening together. We are taking over The Hunter Lounge for a three-course buffet dinner on the Zero Waste Network (love #everybite), and there'll be a cash bar with lots of local, low-waste drinks.
Note: Dinner is included in the 2 day summit pass or Tuesday summit pass.
