Zero Waste Cocktails
Event description
Come along to this event for an introductory masterclass to learn how to make cocktails using food scraps from the kitchen. The event will also cover local sustainable options when choosing the spirits to mix in the drinks.
FACILITATOR
Alejandro Archibald is the bar manager of Nomad and is an advocate for sustainable and minimal waste practices. Alejandro’s cocktail list features waste ingredients from both the kitchen and bar. Nomad is a restaurant that focuses heavily on the best, locally sourced, sustainable Australian produce. This ethos crosses over to the wine list and bar. Where possible Nomad strives to be minimal waste and uses less of the single-use stuff that is found in most restaurants. Nomad started in Sydney and opened its Melbourne restaurant in November 2021.
