Event description

Zero waste cooking is a fantastic way to make your food last longer (who doesn't love reducing trips to the supermarket?!), save money on groceries, reduce consumption of unnatural additives and of course, to improve your environmental footprint. It can also be a spiritual experience, opening the door to ancient preservation skills that have been used by our ancestors for centuries, allowing you to connect with history through food.

This 1.5 hour workshop will take you through different recipes and strategies for zero waste cooking, giving you tips to preserve your food for longer and make more strategic decisions when grocery shopping. With a focus on creativity and attitudinal shifts to food as well as practical lessons, you will learn how to make a zero-waste recipe which you can take home.

Please note, this is a free workshop however we do ask for a $10.00 deposit to confirm your place in the class. Deposits will be refunded after the workshop. Unfortunately, we can't refund no-shows. If you are unable to attend, please get in touch 24 hours before the event. Thank you.
