Join us at Homegrown Cafe for a unique experience where you will gain an insight into how a food and hospitality venue can operate in a sustainable closed loop food system. The system is not only kind to the environment but also ensures the freshest seasonal ingredients are used in creating the meal that you will share with us on the day.

The event will start with a tour of the kitchen garden where you will see the produce growing that will be featured in the meal that will be served. In the extended garden area used for seating and in the public park across from the cafe there are also a number of ingredients including some native foods that we forage for our meals.

We will show the system that we have in place where we compost all our waste that is then used back on the garden.

After this we will gather in the garden seating area to enjoy a two course meal featuring the produce from the garden and our local supply partners. A hot or cold beverage is included in the ticket price, and if you would like to try one of our housebaked cakes or slices to finish the meal these will be available to purchase on the day.
