PLEASE NOTE: This is a new date, as we had to postpone the original due to illness. So sorry about that, but hope you can join us on November 3rd!

Join Further Faster and Daniel Nogueira for a night of learning, sharing and stories about long-distance hiking while trying to reduce our carbon footprint.

In 2019 Daniel Nogueira hiked New Zealand's long trail, Te Araroa with a goal of zero waste and planting 3000 trees. While the hike may have been a journey, so was the challenge of reducing waste, find alternatives and raising funds and awareness to plant all the trees.

From that trip, Daniel has learnt lots of tips and tricks of how to hike with his zero-waste goal always in mind and now, he is wanting to share this with you! So you can then share with your friends too.

Great for any hiker, tramper or mountaineer who cares about the environment and wants to try and do more while using less.

Things covered include:

* Meal planning

* Food drops

* Plant-based diet ideas for hiking and tramping

* Some stories from the Te Araroa

* How to reduce waste while hiking

* Where and how to reduce, reuse, and recycle while hiking.

We also invite you to bring your ideas, tips and trips, and maybe even some recipes to share!

Tickets are $12 and are available via Humaitix.

Where: Further Faster 57a Buchan St Sydenham, Christchurch

When: Tuesday 3rd November. 6:15 pm for a 6:30 pm start.

All profits from this talk will be donated to plant trees in Aotearoa, to help Daniel get closer to his goal of 3000 trees.
