Living Lightly - Zero Waste Party

How can we celebrate well without creating unnecessary waste? This workshop invites participants to rethink common party habits and explore simple, achievable alternatives. Through discussion and examples, we’ll look at food planning, decorations, invitations, gift ideas and post-party clean-up, with a focus on realistic changes that make a difference.

We’ll explore ideas such as reusable serving options, low-waste menu planning, creative decoration swaps, reducing single-use plastics, and practical ways to manage leftovers. The emphasis is on adaptable strategies and thoughtful planning rather than perfection. Small changes can have a big impact.

This free workshop is part of the Living Lightly series and is run by Bass Coast Adult Learning in partnership with Bass Coast Shire Council.
