Description

Chemical application record-keeping is one of those necessary farm admin tasks — it has to be done, but it can mean extra paperwork long after you’ve left the paddock.

Local agronomist Zoe Eagger from Eagger Ag Consulting has developed a practical way to use ChatGPT to streamline chemical label interpretation and record-keeping requirements.

In this small, hands-on workshop, Zoe will step you through the setup and show you how to use the process yourself.

You won’t just watch a demonstration. With only 10 grower places available, we’ll work through the setup together before you put it into practice using a real chemical label and application information.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a working record-keeping system that you’ve set up and used yourself, which you can continue using and adapting on your farm.

Importantly, you’ll also learn how to prompt AI effectively. The skills you develop through this practical exercise can then be applied to other tasks and needs within your farm business. Zoe will also showcase examples of the more complex outputs AI can help you develop to support farm management.

No previous AI experience is required.

What you’ll learn

  • How to get ChatGPT ready to assist with spray record-keeping

  • How AI can assist with chemical label interpretation and record-keeping requirements

  • How to set up and use the supplied Excel record-keeping template

  • How to use a real chemical label and application information to create a record

  • How to use ChatGPT from your phone for practical, day-to-day use, including dictation

  • How to prompt AI effectively to get useful, relevant outputs

  • How the same AI skills can be applied to other needs across your farm business

  • Examples of more complex AI outputs that could assist with farm management

What you need to bring

Please bring a laptop and smartphone.

You will need access to the paid version of ChatGPT for the workshop. You can cancel your subscription after the workshop if you prefer.
