Zine Making Workshop with Sam Cheng

Zines are making a big comeback and we love to see it! More and more people are turning to this accessible way of expressing themselves.

Zines, short for magazine or fanzine, are small DIY works of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine. Historically created by counter cultures or marginalised groups, this format is a powerful way to share information and experiences directly with others.

Zines are quick and simple to make but where do you start? In this workshop you will learn all about the principles of zine making and how to tell your story in short form.

This workshop is designed for ages 12+

Facilitated by multidisciplinary artist Sam Cheng (she/he/they) founder of Kindling Press. An artist collective and small-press publisher of comics, zines, and TTRPGS.
