Zoltan Fecso & Anna Morley Naarm/Melbourne album launch with Grace Ferguson

Zoltan Fecso & Anna Morley launch their debut collaborative album Desire Path on Saturday 18th of April at Tender with special guest Grace Ferguson and Mike Nigro (DJ).

Desire Path, out on Oxtail Recordings, is a collection of atmospheric duets for vibraphone and synthesiser, reflecting the two musicians’ acute sense of melody and space.

Both distinctive voices in improvised music, Fecso and Morley reach unified heights with graceful focus, melding their characteristic instrumental exploration and anchoring minimalism that invites presence and dissolves time.

With acclaimed works described as "utterly intoxicating" (Foxy Digitalis), "cascading with iridescent beauty" (Boomkat), "mesmerising" (Stationary Travels) and "intimately minimalist" (Beat), witness moments shared between two artists creating a singular voice. A collective exhale and meditation on reciprocity with nature, collectivity and the questions presented along life’s path.

Treating us to a special live set will be celestial multi-instrumentalist Grace Ferguson. Since studying classical piano performance at the MCM, she has been an active member of the arts community, producing original electro-acoustic music, performing live and collaborating with others across the forms of theatre, dance and film.

Drawing from historic traditions and encounters ranging from the ordinary to the mythic, her works combine composed and improvised material that continually examines the tension between the planned and practiced, and what remains out of our control.

Mike Nigro will soundtrack the moments in between in his well-known unhurried fashion. Head and heart of Oxtail Recordings, Mike has run the label for 10+ years from NYC and now Sydney. An artist he has released music on Orange Milk Records and his own label. Grounded music; arranged in the stars.
