Our October speaker is Prof Kris Warren from the School of Veterinary Science, Murdoch University.
Kris has 25 years of experience in wildlife, zoological and conservation medicine. She’ll share highlights of her career as a woman in STEM - from her early adventures conducting research on orangutans in Kalimantan to her current role as Project Lead in the Harry Butler Institute’s Black Cockatoo Conservation Management Project.
Through focusing on threats to survivorship for WA’s three species of black cockatoo, Carnaby’s, Baudin’s, and the Forest Red-Tailed, her research supports the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 15. Listen to Kris and Help Keep Carnaby’s Flying!
