2 hour Forest Therapy and Yoga with Carolyn

Enjoy a special trial offer with this blend of Yoga and Forest Therapy, set in the Australian bush.
Join me on a 2 hour gentle exploration of Gresswell Forest. This experience will include the some forest therapy experiences and along the way we will settle in one spot to do a 20-30 min yoga practice. Gresswell Forest is on Wurundjeri land and is one of the most intact examples of grassy woodland in the Melbourne Metropolitan region.
This special trial offer is for people happy to be in photos and videos for my future promotional material. Participants will also be asked to complete a feedback form at the end of the session.
Parking: Limited off-street parking in car park.
Meet: Between the toilet block and the main gate into the Reserve
What to expect:
During this guided group session, we walk and move less than 1 kilometers on relatively flat land. You will be introduced to the forest through a series of slow quiet experiences, practice some gentle hatha yoga poses and pranayamas (yogic breath) and finishing with a seated or laying meditation focusing on the sounds of the forest. People will be encourages to listen to their bodies and practice the yoga poses with awareness of their body's needs and limits, adjusting poses as necessary. Your guide can also make suggestions for adjustments. We will finish inside the parkland at 12.00 midday, with the option to stay for some lemon myrtle tea. This session is suitable for yogis of any level and recommended for participants 16 years and over.

Moving our bodies, using all our senses and immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of the forest has been shown to have many health benefits. Research shows that it can improved mental and physical health, reduce stress levels, regulate pulse and blood pressure and elevate mood.
Time: Please arrive early so we can start at 10am and have time to complete the photo release forms.
Where: Gresswell Forest Nature Reserve, 233 Greenwood Drive, Bundoora, 3083. Meet near the BBQ shelter.
Recommended clothing: Comfortable unrestrictive clothing suitable for yoga and the forecast weather conditions. Closed toe shoes are recommended (shoes can be removed during yoga practices). Note that the paths we will be walking on have gravel and or sticks.
Please bring: A yoga mat or large beach towel, a water bottle, snacks (or your lunch if you want to picnic after the session), any medication, warm layer, sunhat, sunscreen & waterproof jacket (we will continue in light rain). Note that your body temperature is likely to drop when you stop for the final part of this practice, so a spare warm layer is advised. Insect repellent and spare yoga mats are available on request.
