Matt Cogin

Session Overview: The Doors of opportunity in becoming an agent of change

Do you want to take your relationships, mindset and your growth to the next level? Curious as to how you can develop as a leader, and help create lasting change and impact around you? Centred around the key areas of how to build positive relationship in igniting change, the power of growing through setbacks, change and failure and the importance of being intentional with your own growth and development, this presentation will equip you with the tools to do just that!

Matt Cogin is a sought-after speaker and coach who has over 15,000 hours of experience working with youth. Matt speaks to thousands of young people each year in schools and both nationally and internationally. He uses his personal experience and coaching knowledge to offer specialised support for youth and their parents, and he prides himself on the strong relationships he is able to create with all audiences around the world.

Matt believes that there are two sides of the game to play in life, playing it small or playing it large. There’s nothing in between. You’re simply giving it your all or settling for second best. The good news is, that if you want to play it large, there is always a way to get you there.

Dr Kristy Goodwin

Session Overview: Optimise your Digital Life

Through this presentation Dr Kristy will explore:

- Why the ONLINE WORLD is so APPEALING (and how they can take back control of technology and not be a slave to the screen)

- How teens' tech-habits are impacting their MENTAL WELLBEING (with a focus on how technology is eroding our biological buffers that protected us from STRESS and helped us to FOCUS and how digital MICRO-STRESSORS are impacting our mental health)

- Why FOCUS is the SUPERSKILL of the 21st Century (and the #1 skill they must master)

- A MENU OF MICRO-HABITS that students can implement to support their DIGITAL WELLBEING

Dr Kristy Goodwin is an award-winning researcher, speaker, author, and mum on a mission to help parents and educators raise happy, healthy children and teens who thrive online and offline. As a researcher and educator herself, she’s spent most of her professional career researching and speaking about the ways in which technology shapes children’s and teens’ wellbeing, health, and learning. She provides research-based but realistic advice and strategies to teachers and parents on how they can teach their children to use technology in productive and purposeful ways without reverting to phone bans or constant digital detoxes. Dr Kristy authored the book Raising Your Child in a Digital World and has conducted numerous evaluations and research studies for the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities. Prior to becoming a speaker and consultant, she worked as an educator for 14 years with schools in both the public and private sectors. She also lectured at Macquarie University and University of Notre Dame and have completed a PhD on the impact of digital technologies.
