    Event description

Bringing together diverse experience to collectively inspire curiosity and innovation around research into brain function and mental illness.

Explore innovative research and sometimes challenging questions around the brain and its links with mental illness, through informal group conversations by the fireplace with researchers and practitioners. Take time to hear the stories of People with Lived EXperience of mental illness (PLEX) or share your own.

It's about being curious and making connections - with people and ideas.

Delegates will have the opportunity to actively participate in the sharing of technical and experiential knowledge that can spark the brainstorm of innovative ideas.

RESEARCHERS: Delve into PLEX knowledge and experience for insights; where's your next idea taking you?

PLEX: Collaborate with brain & behavioural science researchers; you're more than a patient or statistic.

ANYONE: Be curious! Knowledge, empathy and participation can start change in your community.

    • Access to the Meeting Hall Brainstorm for the day
    • Access to all Main Brainstorm session recordings after the event
    • Morning and/or afternoon tea

A limited number of free tickets are available to PLEX holders of a Services Australia Health Care Card.

The Brainstorm Menu lunch is available at an additional cost ($25).

To assist in keeping food waste to a minimum we ask you to order your lunch in advance by purchasing a Brainstorm Menu ticket - you won't be able to place an order on the day.
