This year SOV is holding state competitions for all sports, over ONE single weekend - 1st & 2nd July!

OPENING CEREMONY: 9:00am Saturday 1st July at Stadium - 04 Terry Vickerman Bldg, 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Rd, Cranbourne East

Athletes to marshal outside of the Casey Stadium at 8.30 – 8.45 am (there will be SO volunteers to help)
Torch Run athletes will be collected by SO volunteers 8.30 (please remember to be in your club uniform)
Don’t forget to bring your drink bottle with you

DRESS
Athletes must dress in their MIE sport (competition) uniform.

FEES

Thanks to fundraising efforts, Melbourne Inner East will subsidise each athlete $10 towards their entry fee, making the State Game fees for MIE athletes as follows:
• Athletics, Basketball, Bocce, Football (Soccer), Gymnastics, Swimming & Tennis: $15 (reduced from $25)
• Bowling (Tenpin): $15 for one day; $25 for both days (reduced from $40)

ENTRY REQUIREMENT - The criteria for entering into State Games is:

Athletes must be registered with Special Olympics in 2023
Athletes must have competed at a club games as a registered athlete within the year leading up to the State Games
Athletes must be competent to do the sport (it is SOV's duty of care for the athlete)
All entered times/distances/score must be the athlete's best in the previous 12 months (1 July 2022 – 30 June 2023)
